Hello to all randonneurs and randonneuses!
We have launched one of the most challenging, most beautiful, and longest-running Croatian brevets, now also available in a permanent edition.
You can choose the start of the brevet yourself from one of the three designated control points.
You also have the freedom to choose your departure time anytime between 00:00 and 23:59.
The route is well-known, with minor modifications to reach the desired 300 km. On the way back, after the Gradina restaurant in Jospidolu, we ride a shorter section toward Ogulin until Luga Oštarijskog, where we turn right and continue riding to the exit for Skradnik.
From there, we continue all the way to Donji Zvečaj, where we turn toward Belavići, then head toward Duga Resa to the bridge through which the town of Duga Resa symbolically wishes to thank and honor Croatian war veterans and the 3rd Battalion of the 2nd Guards Brigade “Gromovi” for their contribution in the Homeland War.
The route then continues toward Tušilović, where, after passing through Mala and Velika Vinica with their gentle hilly landscapes, we return toward the center of Karlovac. After leaving Karlovac, we carefully cross the railway and continue toward Orlovac, heading to the Havana Bar.

Registration
- Participants must register their desired RCP via email to the organizer (at least five days before the start).
- When registering, it is necessary to provide the date, start time (hour of departure), start location (which control point), full name, and phone number.
- To participate in the RCP, a rider must pay the entry fee set by the organizer and sign the Waiver of Liability.
After the Ride
- During the ride, participants must provide the organizer with photos from the control points. If a participant fails to provide proof in the form of photos (selfies) showing the time of arrival at the control point(s), they will be disqualified.
- After completing the ride, each participant must provide the organizer with a link to the ride track (Strava, RideWithGPS, Garmin, or similar apps) as well as a photo from the finish. Randonneurs Croatie will, after verifying the ride, homologate it, create an RCP card, and send it to the rider at the registered postal address.
Any type of bicycle or tricycle may be used, as long as it is powered solely by human effort. Personal support along the entire route is not allowed (including at control points) – each rider must be self-sufficient. All participants must ride in accordance with the provisions of the Road Traffic Safety Act.
For night riding, the use of front white lights and rear red lights is mandatory (it is recommended that rear lights be flashing for better visibility), as well as a reflective vest or bands. Recommended equipment includes a helmet, brightly colored clothing and shoes, spare front and rear lights, and a thermal foil.
Rules
- The RCP is organized and verified by Randonneurs Croatie, which also maintains the homologation registry.
- The RCP is open to all adult cyclists. Participants younger than 18 but older than 16 must have written permission from a parent or guardian and must be accompanied directly by a cyclist. Participants under 16 are not allowed to take part.
- Any type of human-powered vehicle is acceptable (bicycle, tricycle, tandem, etc.). The only condition is that the vehicle is powered solely by the rider.
- Each participant must have health insurance.
- During the ride, every participant is considered an independent rider. Each participant must fully comply with the Road Traffic Safety Act, behave courteously, respect laws, regulations, traffic rules, and local customs.
- Randonneurs Croatie and RCP organizers cannot and do not accept any responsibility for possible accidents or damages.
- During night riding and periods of reduced visibility (fog, rain, etc.), bicycles must be equipped with a front white light and a rear red light visible from at least 100 meters. When riding in a group, all riders must comply with this rule (it is not enough for only the first and last riders to be lit). Riders must wear a reflective vest, sash, or similar item visible from the front and back. Failure to comply with these requirements results in automatic disqualification.
- Each participant must be self-sufficient. Support is allowed only at control points—direct accompaniment along the route is not permitted and will result in automatic disqualification, except for minors.
- Any form of cheating or intentional violation of these rules will result in a permanent ban from all rides under the RC banner.
- Riders must follow the designated route. If a rider deviates from the set path, they must return to the point of deviation before continuing. Shortcuts are not allowed. Participants must stop at every control point to take a photo (selfie) as proof of passing the control. In addition to announced control points, the organizer or an ACP representative may place an unannounced, secret control point.
- Riders must respect the overall time limit. Only in cases of force majeure may the organizer allow delays (e.g., assisting in a traffic accident or if the designated road was closed) and permit continuation of the ride. Poor fitness, fatigue, lack of sleep, poor nutrition, or equipment issues are not considered valid reasons for delays.
